Privacy policy

What data we collect through this website, why, and what rights you have.

This privacy policy explains which personal data Cyberwise BV processes through the website www.cyberwise.be (the “Website”), why we do so, how long we keep them and what rights you have under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

1. Who is responsible?

Cyberwise BV, Bressers-Blanchaertlaan 8 Bus 1, 9051 Sint-Denijs-Westrem, VAT BE1004.385.510, is responsible for processing your personal data. You can reach us at info@cyberwise.be.

2. Which data do we process?

  • Data you enter in our forms (introductory call, contact, demo or partner introduction): your name, organisation, job title, e-mail address, phone number, country and the details of your question.
  • Data you send us by e-mail, such as your CV and cover letter when you apply for a job.
  • Technical data needed to display and secure the Website, such as your IP address, browser type and the time of your visit. These are kept in the server logs of our hosting provider.

Do not share sensitive data, such as passwords or health data, through the forms.

3. Why do we process your data?

  • To answer your question and, if you wish, to prepare a proposal. We do this at your request, with a view to entering into an agreement.
  • To handle job applications, with a view to a possible employment contract.
  • To operate and secure the Website, based on our legitimate interest.
  • To comply with legal obligations, for example in the field of accounting.

We do not send you newsletters or marketing messages without your prior consent.

4. How long do we keep your data?

  • Contact requests: as long as necessary to handle your question, and thereafter for a maximum of 2 years after the last contact.
  • Job applications: until the end of the selection procedure. If you are not hired, we only keep your data longer with your consent, and for a maximum of 1 year.
  • Server logs: a maximum of 30 days.

5. With whom do we share your data?

We do not sell your data or share it for marketing purposes. We only use service providers we need to run the Website and our communications, such as our hosting provider Microsoft (Azure Static Web Apps, West Europe region) and our e-mail provider Microsoft (Microsoft 365, Exchange Online). We have a data processing agreement in place with them.

If a service provider processes data outside the European Economic Area, this only happens with appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses. We also share data when the law requires us to do so.

6. Cookies

The Website does not use analytical or marketing cookies. If we use such cookies in the future, we will ask for your consent first. You can find more information in our cookie policy.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access your data, have it corrected or erased, restrict its processing, object to its processing and receive it in a portable format. If you have given consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

To do so, send an e-mail to info@cyberwise.be. We will reply within one month. If you are not satisfied with how we handle your data, you can lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (www.gegevensbeschermingsautoriteit.be). If you live in the Netherlands, you can also contact the Dutch Data Protection Authority (www.autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).

8. Security

We protect your data with appropriate technical and organisational measures. Our information security management system is ISO/IEC 27001 certified by DNV. However, no method of transmission over the internet or of electronic storage is completely secure.

9. Changes

We may amend this privacy policy when our operations or the legislation change. The most recent version is always available on this page. Last updated: 10 October 2026.
